Integrated sound system
Several key innovations have been incorporated into our new loudspeakers in the éVolution range – including the capacity to adapt the sound produced to the listening environment thanks to the adjustable diffraction ball. Let’s zoom in on this innovation.
The omnidirectional diffraction ball integrated into the new stands of the éVolution range is an OVA Acoustique exclusivity. This little ball is height-adjustable thereby adapting to the volume of the listening room. This means the loudspeaker is fully optimised to your listening environment, resulting in excellent acoustics even in challenging rooms. The listening point for our V2 loudspeakers in Paris provides the perfect illustration. Its open-plan kitchen-living room design has no sound-absorption factors such as carpets, bookcases and furniture, and highly reverberating parquet flooring. In this type of phonic environment, the whole soundscape is stretched slightly higher. However, with a little tweaking, the acoustic quality our loudspeakers produce is simply remarkable – despite the sound-unfriendly setting.
A more embracing sound matrix
A genuine and incredible contribution
Some manufacturers have developed systems with 360° omnidirectional diffusers on their loudspeakers, sometimes leading to a lack of body in the medium range. Given the OVA loudspeaker design, spatial diffusion, from the baffle, was not that straightforward in theory. Thus, everyone is surprised by the fantastic improvement generated by this omnidirectional ball. We do invite you to experience this for yourself at one of our listening rooms.
